Our last field trip for the year was visiting the LST 393.
It is "one of the last two Landing Ship Tanks (LST) of the 1,052 built during World War II"
Here are a bunch of pictures. :)
After the tour, we ate at a park and then went to the beach where the parents all huddled under towels or wore jackets and the children all swam in the cold, cold water.
Typical.

What a great way to end the year! Looks like they had a fabulous time...the smiles speak volumes.
It was fun. :)
That looks like a fun, interesting field trip! I remember going on battleships, Navy destroyers and subs growing up (my dad was Navy and then went into the Coast Guard) and I always liked exploring the old ships. Great photos too!!
Thanks, Dawn!
