Busy, Busy Week

We just finished a super busy week complete with tons of friends and fun.  Apparently it was everyone's Spring Break and no one would let us keep on doing school stuff while they were off (which, I'll be honest, was fine by me).

Here's a run down of our week (beware - lots of pics to follow :) ).

We started the week off without Jonny or Matthew because they spent a couple nights over at their cousins'/grandparents' house (they came back on Tuesday with my parents who spent the day with us).

On Monday, we went to our small town's museum.  It was very cute!

Then we went home for tea and...hard boiled eggs, which Emilia thought very strange.  I liked it.  :)

I also sauteed up some cabbage with butter, salt and pepper.  Sooo good!

My dishwasher broke, so I finally hand washed the ridiculous amount of dishes.

On Wednesday, my friend, Erica (from high school), and her 4 kids came over for the day.  They live a couple hours away, so we don't get to see them often.  It was so great to catch up and the kids played together SO well!

On Thursday, my friend, Diana, and her three kids came over as well as our friend Erin's three boys.  These are some sweet kids.

Using paper plates to save me from washing so many dishes...

My new glasses finally came in!  I went to pick them up that afternoon.

That same day I picked up our new dishwasher and Nate installed it that night.  Yay!!!

The week was so busy that I just kept dumping clean clothes in my room hoping that someone would eventually fold them.  ;)

One of Tommy's favorite things to do this week: dump books on the floor.  Poor Emilia would put all the books back on the shelf in order over and over again.  I finally told her not to worry about the order because in about 10 minutes it would look like this again.

Friday we went on a field trip to participate in / learn about a Passover Seder.

I can't say I learned anything because I was chasing this child the whole time, making sure he didn't eat the suckers or walk on the tables...

Finally happy after going in the hall and eating a cracker.

Matthew's response after eating the horseradish:  "Whew!  I'm glad that's over!"  Ha!  I wish I had a video of Jonny eating it.  He put a big spoonful on his cracker, even though the leader told him he may not want to do that.  His reaction was priceless!  Poor boy...

Tommy's other pastime this week as been coloring and drawing on EVERYTHING:  walls, pictures, paper, himself... He sure likes to keep me busy.

Saturday, we had a boy from our church and his sisters over.  He was there to rake (we bought his services at an auction that our church put on to raise money for the youth to go to summer camp) and his sisters were there to play with Emilia.  Some more very kind children.  :)

Here's Tommy.  Keeping me busy again.  :)

Saturday afternoon we went, as a family, to a nearby town to walk around and enjoy the day.

Saturday evening was spent finishing up the yard work.

Sunday we celebrated our risen Savior!

All ready to go to church.

Happy Easter 2012!  We went to my in-law's for the afternoon to celebrate Easter with Nate's side of the family.

After the extended family left, we took a walk to the park.  Where's Nate??

Monday was quiet.  Finally.

Emilia felt sick and laid in this exact spot all day.

I made myself another one of my (current) favorite meals.  Jonny wanted it.  He always wants my food.  What can I say?  He's got good taste!

Whew!  That was such a busy week.  This week should be much slower, which is fine by me.  :)
