What We've Been Up To - August

This is what we've been up to lately...

Loving on Lydia.

Reading.

Multitasking already!

Holding Lydia.

Matthew, Lydia and me.

Tommy and his little sis.
More holding.

So cute!

Meeting a new baby cousin.

Two sets of cousins born weeks apart.  My nephew, Jadon, with his sister, Sophia, and Jonny with his!

Lydia and my new niece, Sophia!

My sister-in-law with her 4th - a GIRL!  Lydia has a girl cousin/friend close in age!  :)
And even more holding of babies.

Emilia and Sophia

Grandpa and Grandma Jewell with Lydia Jewell.

Grandpa Jewell with Lydia Jewell.  :)
Playing and being silly.

At my mom's house.  Crazy Tommy!
Getting in touch with our inner redneck.

Watching Duck Dynasty with friends...outside.
Picking apples and peaches with friends.

Resting while nursing at the apple orchard.  Looks so peaceful, doesn't it?  Keep scrolling down for the truth...

This picture and the rest of the apple orchard pics were taken (and edited) by my 9 year old, Emilia.

So pretty.  So picturesque...

And this is how it really was!  Kids on top of me...

And behind me - falling on me.  Ha!  So much for that serene looking picture above.  ;)

10 kids and 2 moms.  We filled those baskets very quickly.

We've been enjoying August!

Sisters

When I was younger, I always wanted a sister.

I was the middle child.  The only girl.

While being the only girl did have it's advantages, I always thought it would be special to have a sister.

Especially a baby sister.

Yes, I used to think that would be about perfect.

Then I could be her "sister/mother" and help tend to her at all times.  :)

So happy for Emilia.

She's always wanted a sister too!

Feeling...

Thankful.

Grateful.

So incredibly blessed by the Lord to be "Mom" to these sweet kids...

Who knew a $1 baby toy from a garage sale would be a hit with the older boys??!
Jonny is always stealing her away from others so he can hold her.  He loves her so much!

 And wife to this man...

My cup overflows...

Thanking the Lord for His many blessings.

She Has Melted Our Hearts...

14 days overdue...and so worth the wait!

We welcomed Lydia Jewell on July 31st

She weighed 9lbs 8oz

and was 22.5 inches long.

I now understand the kicking of the ribs and general "huge" feeling I had.

She's WELL loved (smothered and doted on continuously).

And so absolutely, perfectly adorable.

She's just wonderful.  I could sit and look at her all day long...and most of the time, I do!

Thankful to our God who made her and gave her to us.
