Birth Day...Not My Baby's, Mind You

With the birth of the Royal Baby imminent and the birth of a good friend's baby early this morning (she was, by the way, not due for another 8 days...not that I was keeping track...), I decided to console myself by reading about something that holds on to their babies longer than I do...

Click the link above (or these links: Video of elephant being born or Video of baby African elephant learning to stand)  if you'd like to do a little homeschool lesson with your children.

And while you're at it, say a little prayer for me to have patience.

  1. Its neat how all the adult elephants are gathered around working together to help the little one stand.

  4. You must make a very nice home that no baby ever wants to leave. I remember being two weeks over with #3. It's miserable. I pray she arrives soon! Can't wait to see pictures.

  5. Don't know why, Heidi, but the Lord prompted me to pray for you this afternoon. It is 4:50 on Thurs. Praying all is well with you and baby.

Thank you for praying for me. Yesterday was a good day, and at that particular moment, I was at a park with the kids enjoying the day. I wasn't obsessing (like I have been) about when this child is going to exit my body. ;) This waiting game is never easy, even after having done it 5 times! So, I covet your prayers! Thanks again. :)
